Holy Shit, Kyle Schwarber Just Hit A 465-Foot HR

-

The Chicago Cubs have killed St. Louis Cardinals starter Michael Wacha throughout his career and after two shutout losses in a row Wacha was exactly what the Cubs’ offense needed.

Ian Happ and Kris Bryant hit home runs in the third inning that put the Cubs ahead 3-0, then they score two more in the fourth on a bunt and a sac-fly. Then, Kyle Schwarber with the cherry on top, destroying this pitch for a three-run bomb that was estimated to go 465 feet.

(OK fine, not opposite field, but it was to the left of dead center)

Before tonight’s start Wacha had not allowed a home run to left-handed hitters this season. Schwarber’s was the second of the game, as Happ’s came left-handed as well.

The Cubs didn’t stop and scored three more runs in the fifth to take an 11-1 lead.
